Southwick's Zoo is a wonderful place to take your children. This is definitely a kid friendly zoo that is just the right size. They have all of the animals you would expect to see at a much larger city zoo. For example, there are elephants, monkeys, tigers, lions, toucans, zebras, rhinoceros and so many more. The paths are easy to walk with strollers and children and you can get a really close look at the animals. You can wander through the deer area and feed them out of your hands! Children will love the playground on site, petting zoo and a chance to ride a pony or even an elephant. Kids love seeing all of the stuffed animals in the gift shop on the way out. The zoo is expensive so you should try to find coupons in the paper or on the computer. Check to see if your library offers any.
